While there are facts and figures and definitions for the disease, there are no facts for how much of an emotional battle a person living with sickle-cell goes through, or the financial implications of the disorder. Thus, by giving information, creating awareness, providing care and allowing people express themselves, THESE GENES: the Sickle Cell Project will show this disorder in practical day-to-day terms.
